Selecting the Right Deck Materials
Selecting the Right Deck Materials
Selecting the right deck materials for your project can sometimes be a difficult task with the many options that exist today. Below are some of the most common options, with pictures, so you can begin to get an idea of which materials would be the best fit for you.
Pressure Treated Decking & Handrail
Pressure treated wood decking and handrail is the least expensive option available. The wood is weather treated to resist rotting and decay being out in the elements. Staining or sealing the wood is an option after it has been given time to dry out, and can make the deck last many more years.

Pressure Treated Decking with Aluminum Handrail
Aluminum handrail can be a great addition to pressure treated decking. This type of handrail never rusts and never needs any type of staining or sealing. If it ever needs to be washed you can simply hose it off.
Many clients will save on cost by using the wood decking, and save time and energy on maintenance by using the aluminum railing.

Composite Decking with Aluminum Handrail
Composite decking comes in several different lines ranging from entry-level up to super premium quality. TimberTech is our most commonly installed brand, with the Reserve Collection being our most installed line.
All of the composite decking we use is installed with a hidden fastening system, and will typically include color-matched fascia.

Composite Accent Colors
With the wide variety of colors available, another popular design option for composite decking is choosing 2 different colors - one for the body of your deck and one as an accent color.

Special Features
When it comes to design, there is a world of possibilities in creating a space that is custom to you. It is not uncommon for a client to propose something out of the ordinary that they have dreamed up, or perhaps seen in photos somewhere else.
Examples of this for us include built-in hammock nets, extra privacy walls, or unique looking pergolas.
